Perigon Alzheimer’s Center is a first-of-its-kind diagnosis center that helps to diagnose and treat Alzheimer’s Disease, often 20 years or more before symptoms occur. These scans are used to determine your risk factors so that you and your neurologist can determine how aggressive your treatment should be and whether or not you qualify for any groundbreaking clinical trials. Our dedicated patient coordinators will work with you to determine the best way forward, whether that is through insurance, Medicare, personal pay, or financing.
How do you scan for Alzheimer’s?
Perigon Alzheimer’s Center uses an Amyloid PET scan to scan your brain for deposits of Amyloid Plaque on the brain. Before amyloid PET, these plaques could only be detected by examining the brain at autopsy. Amyloid PET scanning makes amyloid plaques "light up" on a brain PET scan, enabling, for the first time, accurate detection of plaques in living people.
Once Amyloid Plaque is seen on the scan, we work with your neurologist to determine the best course of action which could include treatment at our facility.
Perigon Alzheimer’s Center currently offers Monoclonal Antibody Treatment which can significantly slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s effects on your brain.
